i've had this page since my 20th birthday, but it's time to be moving on. "eohpunx" used to by my username for pretty much everything, it was on my license plate, it used to be the website domain of my old band (eoh = enemies of hypocrisy). after that band broke up, it took me a long time to think of a new username to use -- something that really defined who i am. my name, dj, is too hard to try to incorporate into something that doesn't have 13 digits after it (and i will not be another dj324785138956@yahoo or something). so, after much thought and introspection, i finally thought of something that really reflects who i am, a short phrase that reflects my take on life, as well as the titles of my favorite song by one of my favorite bands as well as my favorite unreleased song i wrote for my aforementioned former band: "rest assured." not surprisingly, "restassured" has long been taken as a username for most uses, as (more surprisingly) has "restxassured." so, as many of you know, my email address became xrestassuredx@yahoo.com, my aim name became xrestassuredx, as well as my username on every site i could use it for (some sites don't like that it includes the sequence of letters "ass"). on xanga, though, i couldn't bring myself to kill this site. after having one of the most popular and creative sites on xanga in years past (actually, losing a "best blog" competition only to my friend heidi's spectacular site), my attentions have been diverted, and my site has slowly died.
and now it's dead.
but (and if you didn't see this coming, i don't know what to tell you), i've resurrected a site i brought to life a year and a half ago, and never did anything with. so, my new weblog, which will sport a new, more interesting (and yet-to-be-determined) format than this has had, is now open for business.
